These discoveries are important discoveries such as archaeological excavations, new information about planets and scientific studies that allow us to better understand the past.  Here are some of the interesting discoveries of the year, from the world&#8217;s largest pink diamond, Pluto&#8217;s ice volcanoes, wall paintings from under the house in Urfa, Van Gogh&#8217;s secret self-portrait, slime to mini robot, artificial mouse embryo;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-shackleton-in-kayip-gemisi\">Shackleton&#8217;s Lost Ship<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"411\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5427\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Endurance-1024x411.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"411\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Endurance-1024x411.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5427\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The wreckage of the ship &#8220;Endurance&#8221;, which sank in 1915 in Antarctica&#8217;s Weddell Sea and got stuck in an ice floe, was found 107 years later.  The ship was at a depth of 3,008 meters and was 6.4 kilometers from the original location recorded by its captain, Frank Worsley.  The discovery has been called an important archaeological achievement because the ship had not been seen for 107 years.  Endurance was launched for Antarctica in 1914 by Ernest Shackleton, leader of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.  Their goal was to make the first land crossing of Antarctica.  However, Endurance was not able to reach the target and reach the Antarctic coast because it was stuck in the ice floe.  The ship is in very good condition and its name is clearly visible on the back.<\/p>\n<h3>Magnetic Slime Mini Robot<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"844\" height=\"497\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5428\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Balciktan-Mini-Robot.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"844\" height=\"497\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Balciktan-Mini-Robot.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5428\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Chinese scientists have created a mini robot from magnetic slime.  This robot can be controlled remotely and can be used in the future to clear blockages in the brain, digestive and respiratory systems.  However, researchers are still working on this robot.  It is said that it is not yet ready for clinical applications.  This robot was designed for use in emergency medical interventions and could play an important role in healthcare in the future.<\/p>\n<h3>Wall Paintings from the Iron Age Period<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"544\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5429\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/urfa-duvar-1024x544.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"544\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/urfa-duvar-1024x544.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5429\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Iron Age wall paintings were found under a house in the Ba\u015fb\u00fck neighborhood of \u015eanl\u0131urfa&#8217;s Siverek district.  Among these paintings, it was stated that the gods came together and an incomplete wall drawing was found.  This discovery could be an important finding that will help us better understand and inform our history.<\/p>\n<h3>Pluto&#8217;s Ice Volcanoes<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5430\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Plutonun-Buz-Volkanlari.webp\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Plutonun-Buz-Volkanlari.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5430\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Pluto is a planet located at the edge of the solar system.  Researchers;  Sputnik found dome-like structures in an area southwest of Planitia that could explain the volcanic activity that spewed material onto the surface of Pluto.  The interesting thing about these volcanoes is that they are as cold as ice.  For ice volcanoes to exist, heat from inside Pluto must melt the ice and push them to the surface.  This shows that Pluto is geologically alive.  Pluto hosts an entirely different type of tectonic activity.<\/p>\n<h3>Tomb of Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"940\" height=\"620\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5431\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/kleopatra.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"940\" height=\"620\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/kleopatra.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5431\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>During the excavations in Egypt, it was claimed that a tunnel opened into the tomb of the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra.  This tunnel was found buried under the Taposiris Magna Temple in the city of Alexandria.  Researchers consider this discovery to be one of the greatest discoveries of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<h3>Traces of the Origin of the Black Death<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5432\" width=\"839\" height=\"559\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/karaolum.jpeg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/karaolum.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5432\" width=\"839\" height=\"559\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The DNA of the plague bacteria that caused the Black Death was found in tombs dating from 1338 in Kyrgyzstan.  These pathogens are thought to be the ancestors of the plague bacteria found in three tombs in Kyrgyzstan, which infect humans and animals today.  Kyrgyzstan burial pathogens were found to be the closest common ancestor of other groups.  These bacteria are the species that gave rise to most of the strains circulating in the world today.  This discovery has helped illuminate the origins of the Black Death.<\/p>\n<h3>A Secret Portrait of Van Gogh<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5433\" width=\"841\" height=\"423\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Van-Gogh.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Van-Gogh.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5433\" width=\"841\" height=\"423\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>A hidden portrait of Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh has been found.  This portrait was found hidden in the artist&#8217;s work &#8220;Peasant Woman&#8217;s Head&#8221;.  The National Gallery of Scotland identified the self-portrait during their X-ray scan of this work.<\/p>\n<h3>Artificial Mouse Embryo Developed<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1009\" height=\"764\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5434\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/yapay-fare.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1009\" height=\"764\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/yapay-fare.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5434\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The scientific world has created an artificial mouse embryo.  In this study, scientists combined immature stem cells from mice with two different types of stem cells.  So they managed to create an artificial embryo.  This study was designed so that large numbers of animals were not needed as subjects to study the mechanisms behind diseases.  This study will affect scientists&#8217; knowledge acquisition process by reducing animal experiments.<\/p>\n<h3>2,300 Years Old Bronze Statues<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5435\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/bronz-heykel.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/bronz-heykel.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5435\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>During the excavations in Italy, 24 bronze statues of 2,300 years from the Roman Empire were found.  These statues were spotted next to the thermal pools in San Casciano dei Bagni in the Tuscany region.  5 of the statues found are longer than 1 meter.<\/p>\n<h3>The Oldest Artwork in Human History<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5436\" width=\"840\" height=\"518\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/irak.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/irak.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5436\" width=\"840\" height=\"518\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Archaeologists working to repair the historic Mashki Gate, which was destroyed by ISIS militants in 2016, have unearthed one of the oldest works of art in human history in northern Iraq.  This work was made about 2,700 years ago and is in the form of rock carvings.  The carvings depict battle scenes, grape vines and palm trees.  This work, as well as having historical and cultural value, is also important as one of the first works of art in the history of humanity.<\/p>\n<h3>Largest Pink Diamond Found<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"666\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5437\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/elmas.webp\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/elmas.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5437\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>A 170-carat diamond called the Lulo Rose was found in a mine in Angola.  This diamond is estimated to be the largest pink diamond ever mined.
