You can buy handmade local products, drink coffee in a historical atmosphere, or stay in authentically decorated rooms in the large courtyard of Tuz Han, located inside the Oturak\u00e7\u0131 Market.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ataturk Dam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Atat\u00fcrk Dam, which was built on the Euphrates River in 1992 to irrigate the fertile agricultural lands in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, was built within the scope of the GAP project.  Atat\u00fcrk Dam, as one of the biggest dams of Turkey and Europe, is one of the most popular touristic places of Ad\u0131yaman today.  The recreation areas around the lake host thousands of people every year.  You can take pictures of the wonderful nature views that can be seen from the viewing terraces, or you can take a boat ride or a small boat ride on the lake, or join a fishing tour for fishing.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Perre Ancient City<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The ancient city of Perre, the historical city of Ad\u0131yaman, is one of the five largest cities of the Kingdom of Commagene and is only 5 km from the city center.  The Ancient City of Perre is thought to be one of the important religious centers of the region, which is mentioned as a holy city in historical sources.  There are shrines, temples and living spaces carved into huge rocks. It can be easily reached on foot from the city center, and photos can be taken, castle rooms, tunnels, passages can be examined.  You can also consider the option of renting a car.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Adiyaman German Bridge<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Located in Ad\u0131yaman, the German Bridge was built by German engineers in 1912 as a part of the Baghdad Railway Project, which was built during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid I.  The bridge is famous for its stunning scenery stretching between steep rocks over the G\u00f6ksu viaduct.  It is 280 meters long and 35 meters high.  The bridge is worth seeing with its 12 pillars and 7 arches. The castle was built to defend and protect the ancient city of Arsemia, the capital of the Commagene Kingdom.  Some sources also state that the castle was built during the Hittite period.  The present parts of the castle have been restored and opened to tourism.  It is possible to explore the interior, carved tunnels, dungeons and shrines.  Kahta Castle, which offers stunning views at sunrise and sunset, is an unchangeable address for historical and cultural trips.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Karakus Tumulus<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ad\u0131yaman is a region rich in archeology, history and culture.  Karaku\u015f Tumulus, which was specially built for the family members of the Commagene Kingdom, fascinates archeology and history buffs.  Also known as the Women&#8217;s Mausoleum, these tumuli, 20 meters high and decorated with eagle symbols, have managed to survive with their magnificent designs for 2000 years.  The monumental structures, which are thought to have been built between 30-20 BC and are indispensable parts of guided tours, offer views worth seeing on the skirts of Mount Nemrut, especially at sunset.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Zeynel Abidin Tomb<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Zeynel Abidin Tomb is within the borders of Serhatl\u0131 Village, which is only 17 km away from the center of Ad\u0131yaman.  Hz.  It was made for Zeynel Abidin, the grandson of Ali.  Visited by thousands of people every year, the tomb has a peaceful atmosphere with its Ottoman architecture and surrounding orchards.
