The Night of Power, when the Qur’an begins to be revealed, is considered to be the “Holy night when the gates of the sky are opened, prayers and repentance are accepted” and it is stated to be better than a thousand months.<\/strong> The word \u201cQadir\u201d means \u201crule\u201d, \u201chonor\u201d, \u200b\u200b\u201cpower\u201d and \u201cglory\u201d in the dictionary. In the religious literature, it is used as “leylet\u00fc’l-Kadr” and refers to the night when the Qur’an was revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The importance of the Night of Power has been clearly expressed in the Qur’an. Surah al-Qadr was revealed about the virtue of this night. It is stated in the surah that the Qur’an was revealed in the night of power and that the mentioned night is better than a thousand months. In addition, in the 185th verse of Surat al-Baqara, there is a statement that the Qur’an began to be revealed in the month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n

Signs of the Night of Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The exact night of the Night of Power is not clearly stated in the Qur’an. Therefore, based on the information contained in the hadiths, Islamic scholars advised that we should seek the Night of Power for every night of the Month of Ramadan. However, it is generally believed to be among the last ten nights of the Month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n

Islamic scholars, Referring to the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) “Search for the night of power in the nights of the last ten days of Ramadan”, they reached a general opinion that the Night of Power is the 27th night of Ramadan. However, there is no definite consensus on this issue. On the other hand, the belief that the 27th night of Ramadan is the Night of Power is common in the Islamic world. Those who want to worship on this night generally accept this night as the Night of Power and act in this direction.<\/p>\n

Religious scholars define certain omens to understand the Night of Power. The Night of Power is generally characterized as a clear and calm night and is neither too hot nor too cold. In the early hours of the morning, the sun rises, it has a red color and it rises without light. There are also scholars who say that dogs cannot be heard in the Night of Power.<\/p>\n

The Importance and Miracles of the Night of Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Messenger of Allah (saas) once spoke of four people from the Children of Israel. He reported that these people were Ey\u00fcp (as), Zechariah (as), Hazkiyal, son of an old man, and Yu\u015fa bin Nun. He said that these people worshiped Allah uninterruptedly for 80 years and never rebelled. The Companions were amazed by this situation and thought that it was impossible to reach the rank and degree of these people. However, Gabriel (pbuh) came and said to the Messenger of Allah, “Your ummah was amazed by the eighty years of worship of these people, whereas Allah sent down something better than him to your ummah.” He said and recited Surah Al-Qadr. Our Prophet (saas) and those with him were very happy at this. This hadith is considered as an example that has been told to emphasize the value and importance of the Night of Power.<\/p>\n

It is reported that on this special night, with the permission of Allah, angels and Gabriel descended to the earth, bringing peace and tranquility throughout the night. According to the information given in Surat al-Qadr, it is stated that the Qur’an was revealed in the month of Ramadan and on a blessed night when all wise deeds were decided.<\/p>\n

The hadiths regarding the determination of the night of power state that this night should be sought mostly in the single nights of the last 10 or the last 7 days of Ramadan. However, in the narrations from the Companions, although the 27th night of Ramadan stands out, they do not have a definite statement as these narrations are controversial. In some narrations, it is reported that the Prophet tried to inform about the time of the Night of Power, but when two Companions had a disagreement about something, he could not find the opportunity to apply to the Messenger of Allah, and then the issue was erased from his mind.<\/p>\n

Scholars who thought about the wisdom of not determining the exact date of the night of power said that this situation is more suitable for benefiting from the night’s fayz. Because, if the night of power was announced, Muslims could only be content with reviving that night. In addition, such an ambiguity was deemed more appropriate, as the announcement of the date of the Night of Power may cause some people to show disrespect or excessive reverence for this night.<\/p>\n

In one of his hadiths, our Prophet (saas) gave the good news that “the past sins of those who revive the Night of Power by believing and waiting for their reward from Allah will be forgiven”. When the last ten days of Ramadan are entered, Hz. The Prophet (saas) would distance himself from his worldly affairs and withdraw to Itikaf. He spent these days in prayer and contemplation, and kept his family awake for worship. One day, Mr. Aisha (ra) said, “O Messenger of Allah, how should I pray when I come across the night of power?” he asks. Our Prophet (saas) advises him to pray, “O Allah, you are forgiving, you love to forgive, so forgive me”.<\/p>\n

Abu Hurayra (ra) narrates as follows; \u201cWhen the month of Ramadan came, the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: ‘The month of Ramadan has come, it is a blessed month. Allah has made it obligatory for you to fast for that month. In that month, the gates of heaven are opened, the gates of hell are closed, and the devils are chained. There is a night in it, which is better than a thousand months. The one who is deprived of the goodness of that night is truly deprived.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Tonight, when the angels descend to the earth, they descend with blessings and mercy. When the Qur’an is recited, angels descend to the earth. Tonight is the night of peace and bliss for every business, and the devil cannot do evil or torment tonight. More angels than even grains of pebble descend to earth tonight. Worshiping tonight, fasting during the day and standing up at night are better than a thousand months.<\/p>\n

Night of Power Worship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Worship and prayer are always good deeds. It is even more important during Ramadan and more worship is recommended, especially during the last ten days and odd nights of Ramadan. The person who knows the value of this night and revives it with goodness and worship will have a high place and honor in the sight of Allah. Thanks to Almighty Allah’s endless grace and mercy, some times and places have been made superior and more virtuous than others. It has been reported that the rewards and rewards to be given to the worship and good deeds done in these times and places will be greater.<\/p>\n

The night of power is a peaceful and peaceful night that lasts until the morning. This night is the night of thanksgiving, where believers who fast, recite the Qur’an, perform tarawih prayers and are purified by other acts of worship become angels with angels. This night is a night of salvation and salvation, in which the angels surround the universe illuminated by the Qur’an with good news for believers, the forgiveness and forgiveness of Allah is exhilarated, and it is declared to be better than a thousand months. For this reason, we should not spend the night of power in heedlessness, inattention, or away from worship.<\/p>\n

Tonight, we should evaluate our past by reciting the Qur’an with full sincerity and sincerity, performing prayers, repenting and asking for forgiveness, sending greetings to our Prophet, making our parents, relatives, neighbors, the poor and the poor happy, and commemorating our pasts with mercy. It is an inappropriate behavior for a Muslim to neglect the Night of Power, which is the greatest and most virtuous of the blessed nights bestowed upon us by Almighty Allah, in order to get rid of our sins and achieve happiness in this world and in the hereafter, and to spend it in vain and without worship.<\/p>\n

The Night of Power should be evaluated more than other times by reading the Qur’an, understanding its meaning, performing the accident prayer if there is an accident prayer, performing voluntary prayers, repenting and praying. In addition, we should review whether our lives are in accordance with the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and replace resentment, resentment, grudge and hatred by making brotherhood prevail. We must put a smile on the face of the orphans, the homeless, the poor and needy, and help them.
