These images, recently shared on social media, show many mountain peaks resembling Egyptian pyramids and have sparked a debate about the origin of these peaks.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While some people claim that these mountains are man-made and possibly hide the tombs of ancient emperors, others believe they were created by aliens.  But the truth, although fascinating, is simpler;  These mountains are natural formations.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><noscript><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13071\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Formation of China&#8217;s Pyramid Mountains<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>According to geologist Professor Zhou Qiuwen of Guizhou Normal University, these pyramid-like mountains are neither man-made nor ancient burial sites.  On the contrary, they are extraordinary examples of nature&#8217;s art.<\/p>\n<p>Guizhou Province in southwestern China is known for its steep peaks and deep valleys stretching across the landscape.  The mountains in the photographs are part of karst topography formed by the dissolution of soluble carbonate rocks.  These cone-shaped peaks are the result of natural rock formations dissolving over time.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13073\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar3.jpg\" data-lazy- title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13073\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Zhou explained: \u201cVertical erosion by water caused the initial large masses of rock to separate into independent units.  As this process of erosion continues, the overlying rocks are significantly dissolved, while the underlying rocks are relatively less affected.  This leads to the formation of sharp peaks on broad bases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rocks at Anlong are limestone formations dating back 200 million years to the early and middle Triassic periods.  These rocks were affected by periodic changes in climate and geology and formed in a marine environment where minerals dissolved in water recrystallized to form different layers.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"720\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13075\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar5.jpg\" data-lazy- title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13075\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The observed brick-like structures are the result of natural corrosive processes.  Zhou explained that geological processes in karst landscapes can break layered rocks into smaller blocks, giving the appearance of man-made structures.  Tiny cracks within the rocks allow water to slowly erode them, resulting in fragmented block-like formations rather than completely dissolving.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"891\" height=\"648\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13079\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar10.jpg\" data-lazy- title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"891\" height=\"648\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13079\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Information about Guizhou Province<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Anlong County is located in southwestern China, south of Guizhou Province, bordering Guangxi.  Anlong County is under the administration of Qianxinan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.<\/p>\n<p>Guizhou is a province located in southeastern China.  The capital of the province is Guiyang city.  Guizhou borders Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality to the north, Yunnan Province to the west, Guangxi Province to the south, and Hunan Province to the east.  Guizhou, which generally has a mountainous structure, becomes flatter as you go from west to east and south.  The western part of the province is part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13076\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar8.jpg\" data-lazy- title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cin-piramit-daglar8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13076\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>Other important cities of Guizhou include Anshun, Kaili, Zunyi, Duyun, Liupanshui and Qingzhen.  Guizhou has a humid subtropical climate with little variation between seasons.  The average annual temperature varies between 10 \u2013 20 \u00b0C;  It is between 1 &#8211; 10 \u00b0C in January and 17 &#8211; 28 \u00b0C in July.
