The cave is considered to be the deepest cave in the world with a depth of 2197 meters.  Said to extend into the core of the earth, the cave is taller than any man-made structure on earth.  The depth of the cave is equivalent to the length of the Eiffel Tower by placing 6 and a half floors on top of each other.  It takes about 30 days to descend to the bottom of the cave.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consisting entirely of limestone, this cave takes its name from the Russian geologist Alexander Kruber.  The cave is also known as Voronya or Voronja Cave.  Considered the Everest of caves, this cave has a narrow entrance.  It is visited every year by many tourists who want to see the cave.  The cave, which has a pitch-dark environment, is not only scary, but also has a different ecosystem.  There are different insect species in the cave that have never seen the light before.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3309\" width=\"838\" height=\"547\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3309\" width=\"838\" height=\"547\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<h3 id=\"h-krubera-magarasina-yapilan-inisler\">Descents to Krubera Cave<\/h3>\n<p>The cave is located near the Gagra district of Abkhazia, a region on the Georgian border.  The length of the cave, which is at an altitude of 2,250 meters above sea level, is 13,432 meters.  Discovered in 1960, scientists and explorers made descents to go deeper each time.  The most important descent into the cave is the descent that 7 countries came together with a team of 56 people.  This team was able to descend into the cave step by step, working 20 hours a day for 2 weeks without a break.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3312\" width=\"839\" height=\"597\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera7.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3312\" width=\"839\" height=\"597\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The crews descended into the cave to a depth of 700 meters in the first stage, 1215 meters in the second stage, and 1410 meters in the third stage.  In the fourth stage, the teams descended to a depth of 1610 meters and managed to reach a depth of 2080 meters and descend into a room with a floor.  After this descent, which was recorded as a world record, a depth of 2190 meters was reached with another descent in 2007.  Thus, the cave, which was defined as the bottom of the world due to its depth, was accepted as the deepest point in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the freezing underground waterfall in the cave, many areas are filled with water.  It has tunnels that it is almost impossible to pass through, and countless pits and cliffs that descend into the depths of darkness.  It creates an enormous underground wonder with its tunnels resembling a labyrinth.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3311\" data-lazy-=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera10-1024x683.jpg\" title=\"\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/kasifiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/kurubera10-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3311\" title=\"\"><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<h3>Formation of Krubera Cave<\/h3>\n<p>The cave is located in the center of the great tectonic movements in the Caucasus, which was formed as a result of the shifting of the continents.  The upper layers of the continents colliding in the region were bent, forming mountain chains such as the Arabica Massif.  As a result of the bending and shaping of the rock layer, huge cracks have occurred that extend into the depths of the earth.<\/p>\n<p>The slopes of the Arabica Massif are composed of karst lands containing a large amount of limestone.  Karst lands erode and melt with rain water and cause wide crevices.  Geologists think that the cave was formed as a result of earthquakes growing cracks in the limestone.  At the same time, the underground water resources in the region have eroded the karst land over time.
