According to the Islamic belief, there are many portents of the apocalypse that will take place in order. Gog and Magog are known as one of these signs of doomsday. Legendary beings named Gog and Magog, which constitute a very crowded community, are mentioned in the revelation books, the Qur’an and other holy books. Various opinions are put forward about these beings mentioned in the chapter of Kahf in the Qur’an.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Qur’an, the Gog and Magog tribe and the struggle of Zulkarneyn Aleyhisselam with them are mentioned. This subject has led to different interpretations by scholars due to the lack of sufficient explanatory information about it. While some religious scholars consider Gog and Magog as two separate races, others argue that these beings are creatures like D\u00e2bbet\u00fc’l-arz.<\/p>\n

Information about Dhul-Qarnayn and Gog and Magog<\/h3>\n

Gog and Magog are a very cruel and destructive community according to what is told about them. This community has taken place in various religions, mythologies and cultures in different ways. Dwarves were called giants, devils, tribes or countries. Islamic scholars regarding these beings, on the other hand, stated that they were slightly different from humans, and described them as flat faces, small eyes, very large ears and short stature.<\/p>\n

This community, which is very crowded, can consume the water of rivers and lakes in the world by drinking. It is so crowded that when they all die at once, there will not be an inch of space that their carcasses do not cover. The emergence of the community follows the emergence of the Mahdi and the Prophet. It will take place after the death of the false Messiah Dajjal of the Prophet Jesus. Allah will inflict a species on them, and they will be destroyed by this species. The death of all of them will occur at the same time as the death of a single person.<\/p>\n

It is a matter of debate whether Zulkarneyn Aleyhisselam, whose name is mentioned in the Qur’an in Surah Kahf, is a prophet. Zulkarneyn Aleyhisselam; He is described as a person who travels to different places, helps people, and protects the oppressed against the oppressors. With the help of Allah, he made great expeditions to the east and west, fought Gog and Magog for many years and built a barrier to prevent them.<\/p>\n

This embankment was clogged with iron masses and blocked in such a way that they could not rise to the surface again. It is told that Gog and Magog dig behind the embankment every day in order to go out and cannot go out, and when they come out, the apocalypse will break. When they come out from behind the barrier, they will attack people, people will hide in buildings from their evil. They will devour everything on earth, including animals, and they will drink and dry the rivers. After being told that they will all die at the same time in one night, foul odors will envelop the earth and it will become unlivable. Hz. With the prayer of the Prophet Jesus, wounds will appear on their necks and they will all die at once.<\/p>\n

Verses and Hadiths About Dhul-Qarnayn and Gog and Magog<\/h3>\n

The Gog and Magog tribe, which are considered the greatest strife after the Dajjal, are mentioned in the Qur’an in verses 93 – 98 of Surat al-Kahf. In these verses, the complaint of the Gog and Magog tribe to Dhul-Qarnayn Aleyhisselam and the event that a barrier was built in front of them is explained.<\/p>\n

It is mentioned in the verses as follows;<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, when he reached between two mountains, he found a people beyond them that almost did not understand a word.\u201d
\n\u201cThey said: O Dhul-Qarnayn! Gog and Magog are making mischief in this country. Would you accept it if we paid you a price to build a barrier between us and them?”
\n“Dhul-Qarnayn, the blessing and power that my Lord has placed me in is superior to yours. Support me with your strength and I will make an insurmountable barrier between you and them.\u201d
\n\u201cBring me the iron masses. When he finally filled the valley with iron and brought the two mountains to the same level, he said, ‘Fill the fire. Now when he has turned it into embers, bring it to me, and I will pour some molten copper on it.\u201d \u201cNow they could neither overtake nor pierce it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding the issue, the Prophet Muhammad (saas) said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter Jesus killed the Dajjal, Allah revealed to Isa Aleyhisselam; He says, “I have created servants that no one can kill, gather my other servants and take them to Tur.”
\nAllahu ta’ala sends Gog and Magog to earth. They go up and down hills fast. Their pioneers arrive at the Lake of Tiberias and drink all the water of the lake. When the people behind come there, they say that there was once a lot of water here.
\nIsa Aleyhisselam and the believers who are with him are stuck on Mount Tur. For each of them, an ox head would be worth more than a hundred gold in your current money. Isa Aleyhisselam and the believers with him beg Allah to save them from this scourge. And Allah, the Exalted, afflicts Gog and Magog with maggots on their necks, and they all die at once.<\/p>\n
