The rocks in Gökbel Valley form mineral and marble deposits with rock formations that are 400-600 million years old. More than 45 marble quarries, mines and coal enterprises operate in this region. Additionally, feldspar and chrome mines are among the natural resources of the valley.
This region, which has a noticeable lack of promotion, is evaluated within the scope of the Yatağan Geopark Project and new promotional activities are started. It is thought that the tourism potential of Gökbel Valley will develop in the near future, with the increasing interest of both local and foreign tourists.
