Queimada Grande Island in Brazil is known as the most dangerous island in the world. Entry and exit to this island is prohibited by the state. Bothrops Insularis, a snake species unique to this island, lives on this island. It is also known as the golden spear-headed viper. It is known that the snakes living on the island have a venom strong enough to melt human flesh. This snake, also called the golden viper, has a yellowish color. They grow up to 1 meter in length. It is known that most of the human deaths in the Americas are caused by the venom of this snake species.
Snakes different from the snake species found in many parts of America live on the island. As a result of the researches, 32 different snake species were found. It has been determined that there is 1 snake for every 5 square meters on the island.
Many legends are told among the people about the island. It is said that people lived on the island before 1920. It is thought that the snake named golden viper found on the island came here from the mainland and changed after its arrival. It is thought that after the deaths due to this highly venomous snake, there is no one left on the island.
In addition, many stories are told about the death of a fisherman who went to the island. Unaware of the danger on the island, the fisherman approached this island because of his engine failure. The fisherman, who went to the interior of the island to collect bananas, was attacked by many snakes at the same time and died tragically.
If anyone wishes to visit the island, they must have a doctor with them. The person who wants to go to the island is left within 100 meters of the island by the army. There is only one way to enter the island. It is climbing the rocks in a certain part of the island where seabirds nest. But this is an extremely dangerous situation. In the event of a fall while climbing the rock, life-threatening is high. Being attacked by thousands of snakes if you fall down is a rather frightening reality.
