What Do These Findings Mean?
The 16 polygonal structures discovered under the surface of Mars by the Zhurong rover provide important clues about the planet’s past. These structures were found approximately 35 meters deep in Utopia Planitia, the vast plain of Mars. Researchers believe these polygonal structures were probably formed between 2,000 and 3,000 million years ago. During the Hesperian and early Amazonian periods They believe that it occurs.
