Ministry of National Defenseexplained that the book cover prepared within the scope of the National Defense University (MSÜ) Military Academy Turkish Language Composition and Rhetoric Course was “made by an external graphic artist by the editor without the knowledge of the university administration, and the books were immediately confiscated after the inappropriateness of the cover was noticed.”
In the written statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, it was stated that there was no visual on the cover of the “Lecture Notes” book, which was prepared for the Turkish Language Composition and Rhetoric Course at the MSÜ Military Academy and published with the approval of the Senate.
The statement included the following statements:
“The book cover featured on social media was prepared by an external graphic artist by the editor without the knowledge of the university administration, and the new cover was given to the printing house by the editor without the knowledge of the administration, in order to use the cover for the printing of lecture notes books. Upon noticing the irregularity of the cover, the books were immediately confiscated. Prof. had the cover prepared by an external graphic designer. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu resigned from his position on November 9 due to this inappropriate behavior. “An administrative and judicial process was immediately initiated by the MSÜ Rectorate regarding the incident.”
