Throughout history, people have wondered about the signs that will bring the end of the world, and interpreted the extraordinary events that took place in the sky and earth as a harbinger of this great day. The seven major nature events, which are reported to be realized before the Resurrection in Islamic sources, are both unimaginable and irreversible consequences.
These portents reported in the authentic hadiths of the Prophet (saas) include the emergence of the sun from the west, the collapse of three large earth, the fire in the Hijaz and Hadrevt region, the narrowing of the time, the splitting of the moon and the last wind blowing before the apocalypse.
The sunrise of the sun from the west
One of the most precise and irreversible signs of the apocalypse is the emergence of the sun from the west. Our Prophet (saas) reported that this event was one of the great signs of the apocalypse.
In recent years, the issue of “displacement of the magnetic poles of the world ında in the science circles has been increasingly discussed. The northern magnetic pole shifts to the south and the south magnetic pole is north. This process accelerated in 2020, some experts suggested that this magnetic change may affect the direction of the planet and the sun may arise from the west, not from the east.
However, this is not possible scientifically. Because for the emergence of the sun from the west, the geographical poles should be replaced. This means that our planet is turning upside down or stopping the return and restarting in the opposite direction. For this reason, today’s magnetic polar shifts do not lead to the emergence of the sun from the west.
However, according to the Islamic belief, one day this event will be experienced. When the sun rises from the west, people will no longer choose to believe or repent; Those who do not believe will clearly see the truth and have to believe. This event means not only a celestial change, but also the closure of the gateway for the test for humanity.
When this nature event takes place, no repentance will be accepted, no faith will benefit. The truth will emerge with all its clarity, and the mind will be clearly seen to all humanity to deny this fact. Even the peoples of the world, even people or disbelievers with different beliefs will witness this event and accept it without questioning its meaning. This will be a clear evidence.
Hasf: Three big ground collapse
One of the great signs that will occur as the apocalypse approaches is the collapses of the world in three different points of the world. This event is clearly reported in authentic hadiths and is sudden and destructive to the extent that it cannot be confused with ordinary earthquakes.
Before the apocalypse, three large settings will take place: one in the east, one in the west and one on the Arabian Peninsula. In the hadiths, these collapses refer to as Hasf. In Arabic, “Hasf” means that the earth is suddenly splitting and swallowing the ones on it. In other words, this event is not a slow or limited concussion such as earthquakes; It refers to a great disaster, such as the opening of the soil and the withdrawal of cities into the ground.
Nowadays, in different parts of the world, the surface is frequently witnessed the incident of the creation of giant pits. These pits, which are called Sinkhole or Obruk; Sometimes it makes you feel that the earth is breathing by swallowing a way, sometimes a house, sometimes a person.
This situation is not new in Türkiye. In particular, the sinking of the place in the Konya Plain in the last 10 years is not only a scientific issue; It also shows that it has become a social, agricultural and psychological threat. In Konya, especially in Karapınar, Çumra and Ereğli, hundreds of large and small obruks were recorded. Some of them reach 1 meter diameter, some of them reach a width of 50 meters and a depth of 30 meters.
These examples are given to better imagine the sinking of the place to live close to the apocalypse. Because the signs of the apocalypse, just like these obructs, but will be many times larger; Not a village, a region, a city rather than a field will be involved in a city.
East Clasing of the East: Although no definite place is specified, seismic active regions such as China, Japan, India and Indonesia are possible centers. The volcanic belt in Indonesia, the active fault lines on the Himalayan skirts and the pacific fever circle can be one of the centers of this collapse.
Place of Location in the West: The concept of West generally means Europe or America continent. In particular, the Yellowstone Super Vollection is shown as an active center that can cause a place to swallow a large part of the United States.
These earth sinks are considered to be an indicator of divine intervention, rather than geological events, and have a special place among the signs of apocalypse.

Duhan: Smoke covering the sky
Duhan, one of the apocalypse signs, will come to humanity as a great warning to humanity. One morning people awaken an unusual silence; The sky darkened, the sun has become invisible. A suffocating atmosphere, a smoke that burns eyes, has covered everywhere, people have difficulty breathing. Dryness in the mouths, burning sensation in the lungs.
Surah Duha in the Holy Quran 10-11. In the verses, this event is reported as follows:
“Wait the day we will cover the sky with a clear smoke. This is a painful punishment.”
This verse points to a smoke disaster that will cover the whole earth before the apocalypse. While the believers are slightly affected, the disbelievers will experience a heavy punishment. Our Prophet (saas) also stated Duhan as one of the 10 great signs that would appear before the apocalypse. In some rumors, it is stated that this smoke will cover the sky for 40 days. The sun and the moon become invisible; The sky turns into a black curtain.
According to Ibn Kathir, Kurtubi and Apple, Duhan is a global disaster that has not yet been experienced. This smoke from the sky will drown the earth into darkness, make people sick and paralyzed the atmosphere and the light system.
Scientifically some contemporary comments discuss the possible reasons of Duhan:
Super volcano explosion: The explosion of a super volcano like Yellowstone can throw millions of tons of ashes into the atmosphere; Sunlight is cut, climate is broken, respiratory problems are experienced.
Nuclear War or Nuclear Winter: The explosion of hundreds of nuclear heads at the same time can form a layer of dense radioactive smoke and lead to mass extinction.
Meteorian impact: A collision like meteorite that destroys dinosaurs in history can cover the atmosphere with dust and smoke; Dark and global cooling will last for months.
Duhan is a clear celestial alarm that informs that the apocalypse is approaching. Regardless of the reason, the truth will no longer be denied when this event takes place.
Fire: Divine Warning of the Resurrection
Another of the apocalypse is the testing with fire. This fire is not one of the ordinary fires we know; It is a divine warning where the balance of the earth is shaken, gushing from the heart of the soil and illuminating the distance. Our Prophet (saas) said:
“The apocalypse does not break unless there is a fire from the Hejaz region. This fire will illuminate the necks of the camels.”
The rumors state that this fire can come out of the Hejaz region (around Mecca-Medina) or Hadrevt. Fire is strong enough to reach long distances and its effect will spread up to Damascus. For this reason, it is defined as a natural event, not regional, but as an inter -continental nature event.
In some hadiths, it is stated that this fire will direct people towards Damascus. When the Companions asked the Messenger of Allah what to do in this case, they received the answer, im I recommend Damascus to Damascus ”. This advice means that Damascus will be a safer region at that time.
Scientifically, researchers suggest the possible causes of this fire as follows:
A volcanic explosion like the Harra region near Medina,
Sudden explosion of underground gases,
A nuclear or geological disaster.
However, it is clear that the effect of this fire cannot be compared with any natural fire. As stated in the hadith, it is a nature event that can be seen on a large scale to illuminate the necks of camels.
Contraction of time: a insidious warning for humanity
Another event that will be close to the apocalypse is more insidious than others, but a change that everyone will notice: the deterioration of the flow of time. Our Prophet said:
“When the apocalypse approaches, time is shortened. It becomes like a month a month. It is like a week a week. One week is like a day, one day an hour. One hour passes like a spark.”
These words indicate that time can be narrowed not only psychological, but also in the real sense. People feel rapidly passing days, weeks and months; Time flows in the blink of an eye and closes.
Today, some interpreters explain the expansion of the universe, gravity-time relationship or perceptual time deterioration by associating hadiths with modern physics. However, the real importance is the effect of time on humanity. As time narrows, people cannot rule it, and become constantly busy and hectic. This is one of the important indicators of pre -apocalypse spiritual breaks and social collapse.
Month splitting: repetition of a celestial sign
Another of the apocalypse is the division of the moon into two. In the historical sources, this event took place as the miracle of the Prophet during Mecca. In the Holy Quran, the expression “The clock approached and the moon was split” (Surat al-Kamer). This verse indicates that both the miracle and the apocalypse are approaching.
In the narration in Bukhari and Muslim, it is said: “The moon was split and people saw it in two pieces.”
In some exegesis, it is stated that this event may be experienced once more as the apocalypse approaches. If it happens again, it will not only be a break in the sky, but a sign that everything in the world begins to change irreversible.
Wind: Silent and precise herald of apocalypse
The big wind that shook the earth is one of the signs of apocalypse. Our Prophet said:
“Allah sends a wind. This wind takes the life of every believer. The apocalypse only breaks over the bad people.”
This wind is not severe; Sweet, cool, quiet and peaceful. The spirit of everyone who believes in his heart is taken in a painless and peaceful way. However, for people who have closed the truth and have made the persecution and rebellion a lifestyle, this wind points to the beginning of the real apocalypse.
According to scholars, this wind reaches every corner of the earth; Mountains, deserts, forests, cities and villages pass through the place of each believer. When this event takes place, the world becomes completely ready for the beginning of the apocalypse and the last peaceful moment of human history ends.
